Lens Ports for iPhone 15 Pro Max
All you have to do is simply screw the Sandmarc Lens onto the 1x lens or 5x lens on the case.
You cannot attach the Sandmarc telephoto lens to the Wide Angle lens (.5X lens).
That would be super counterproductive to put a long lens on a wide lens anyways.

USING NEUTRAL DENSITY FILTERS WITH THE SANDMARC LENS:
Here is the one I used in the video, but there are other ones available. The filter adapter that came with the Sandmarc lens is a 43mm adapter, so I went with a 43mm Variable Neutral Desnity Filter option from K&F Concept.

Why would you want to use ND filters on this lens for Video?
Long story short, when you are shooting video, and you have all the video settings locked, you can still adjust the overall exposure on the lens without ever touching a menu or throwing off your video settings.
The 180 Degree Shutter Rule for Video:
For natural looking motion blur, in cinematography.
These settings can leave certain scenes overexposed if you shoot in 24fps in broad daylight, or bright scenes.
Adjust with the turn dials.
SHUTTER SPEED CAMERAS:
The rule is to take whatever framerate you are shooting in and double it.
We typically film in 24 frames, 30 frames, or 60 frames (for slow-motion/action).
Movies are typically known to be shot in 24 frames or 23.98fps.
Take 24 frames per second and double the number (24x2) = 48
In your camera, would set you shutter to a 1/48 shutter.
Most digital and mirrorless cameras have shutter speed, but they don’t have 1/48.
Often times, the closest fraction you can get is 1/50 for a 24 fps video (or 23.98 fps), and this is perfectly acceptable!!
So if you shoot 30fps (29.97fps), and double it, your shutter would be 1/60.
If you shoot 60fps (59.94fps), then your speed would be 1/120 (or 1/125 as this is usually the more common option in mirrorless cameras).
SHUTTER ANGLE CAMERAS (cinema cameras):
It’s a little bit easier for these cameras, because you can just the shutter angle to 180 degrees and no matter which frame rate you choose it will always stay at 180 degrees, thus it always following the 180 degree shutter rule.

HOW TO USE:
Let’s talk about some tips and tricks and all the struggles I had using this lens, so you don’t have to go through the same learning curve that I did!
Peak Design Travel tripod
Use a tripod!!! It’ll make your life so much easier. Especially if you are doing video!!
The default iPhone camera kept switching over the wrong lens by default. When it does this, it looks like this (below) whenever you focus the lens.

You can turn this Macro Control setting off in the CAMERA SETTINGS of you iPhone for Good…or you can do it, whenever you open your default camera app (BELOW).

NEGATIVES/NEEDS IMPROVEMENTS:
LENS NOISE:
There are a few negatives, one was in the video where you could audibly hear the metal lens barrel turning whenever I focus the barrel. It’s hard to hear this with your ears, but it shows up in the footage.
LIGHT LEAKS:
In certain conditions, where light is directly or incidently hitting the camera/phone, and light gets in between the lens and the lens mount on the phone case. This causes a light leak, but can be removed by blocking the sun from hitting the camera and lens, or from rotating the lens to make sure it is seated properly into the mount.

SOFT SUPERZOOM:
When you use the Sandmarc 6X lens on top of the smaller sensor 5X camera on the iphone, it just looks soft.
For one, it is very difficult to keep it steady at 720mm, let alone nailing your focus on a moving subject while you are panning a tripod.
